A British tourist who vanished four weeks ago as he and his friends went to fly home from Amsterdam has been found safe and well.

Ryan Jones, 34, went missing after saying that he had forgotten his travel documents before the group left Schiphol Airport on May 4.

He made ‘brief’ telephone contact with them but had not been heard from since, Dutch police said at the time.

An appeal for information was launched, with the case being flagged as ‘urgent’ by investigators.

Dutch police said today that Ryan had been found safe and well.

They did not give any further information or say when the British national had been located, citing privacy concerns.
