
The UK roads have been plagued by crashes, a lorry fire and an overturned truck today as people returned to work after the bank holiday.
In Cambridgeshire, part of the M11 remains closed after a serious crash this morning between J11 Duxford and J12 Cambridge.
One person was seriously hurt after the crash involving a car and a lorry, and they were taken to Addenbrookes Hospital.

Elsewhere, drivers were caught in severe traffic delays and 13 miles of congestion on the M25 after a lorry fire in Hertfordshire between J25 Enfield and J24 Potters Bar.

Part of the UK’s busiest motorway was closed anticlockwise after a truck carrying hay bales caught on fire at about 6am.
One lane reopened shortly before 9am to let drivers pass the lorry, but long delays remain on the anticlockwise carriageway.
Diversions were put in place, but the route will take drivers into the ULEZ zone, National Highways warned.
It said: ‘Please note diversion has a 4.7m (14.4’) height restriction and passes through TFL ULEZ.
‘Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, East of England Ambulance Service and National Highways Traffic Officers are attending.
‘Traffic within the closure is being released past the scene.’
Traffic analyst Inrix said in an update: ‘Congestion to J27 M11, and heavy diverting down the M11 and around the North Circular.
‘After being stopped for an hour and a half, with smoke from a lorry carrying hay bales.

‘Letting some traffic past in lane four now, but it will take a long time to get moving further back.’
One frustrated motorist said on social media: ‘Avoid M25 this morning traffic at a standstill only have 10 miles to go and going to take me nearly 2 hrs.’
Traffic on the M1 was disrupted this morning after a lorry overturned and spilt oil on the motorway.
Only one lane is open past the scene northbound between J10 Luton and J11 Dunstable, which is causing severe delays, including to Luton Airport junction.
Several lanes are expected to remain closed until at least tonight, National Highways warned.
One driver said he has been stuck near the scene ‘for about four hours,’ while another one said he has been trapped in the unmoving traffic since 8am.
