Footage shows the moment a knifeman stormed into a restaurant and stabbed his victim before he suddenly stopped to get his phone out.

The terrifying incident was captured on CCTV in Willesden, northwest London, on Tuesday.

It escalated into a stabbing after the victim, who was driving, was followed by the suspect in another car, Metro understands.

The victim tries to barricade the glass door, but the attacker appears to jab him in the arm with the blade, forcing him to let go.

He then walks to the victim, who is lying on the floor and tries to kick his assailant in vain.

The knifeman proceeds to stab him multiple times on the legs and his torso while the victim has nowhere to escape.

For a moment, the attacker appears to be heading to the door before he suddenly changes his mind and kicks the victim.

The suspect, dressed in an all-black outfit with a hood on, then pulls his phone out and appears to film the other man.

At the end of the video, the knifeman was ushered away by another customer who entered the restaurant and the victim was able to stand and walk, MailOnline reports.

The police said that a man in his 20s went to a hospital himself with stab wounds with non-life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

The victim was driving his car when he was followed by the suspect in another vehicle before a ‘collision took place and the victim ran into the restaurant where he was stabbed,’ Metropolitan Police said.

The force told Metro in a statement: ‘No arrests have been made at this time but officers continue to follow all available lines of enquiry.’
