
Workers travelling into London this morning faced a smorgasbord of issues after signal failures across the network.
The Elizabeth Line, which connects Reading in Berkshire to central London,is having major delays after a Network Rail signal failure in the Twyford area.
While some lines have reopened, trains between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals and Reading could still be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised, National Rail warned.
The disruption is expected to last until 1pm, National Rail said in an alert.

Here are the affected routes:
- Elizabeth line between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4 / Maidenhead / Reading, betwen Gidea Park / Stratford / London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4, and also between Shenfield / Abbey Wood / London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5
- Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Reading / Didcot Parkway / Oxford / Cheltenham Spa / Cardiff Central / Swansea / Carmarthen / Newbury / Bedwyn / Frome / Weston-super-Mare / Exeter St Davids / Taunton / Plymouth / Penzance, between West Ealing and Greenford, and also between Maidenhead and Marlow
- Heathrow Express between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5

Elsewhere, a stretch of the Piccadilly line has severe delays after another signal failure in the Hounslow West area.
There are severe delays between Acton Town to Heathrow terminals because of a signal failure in the Hounslow West area.
Tickets are being accepted on Elizabeth line, South Western Railway, Weaver line, Great Northern and local buses.
Commuters on the Jubilee line face minor delays between Stanmore and Wembley Park southbound only after an earlier faulty train at Canary Wharf.
