An urgent recall has been issued for a popular Aldi dinner dish due to undisclosed allergens.

Aldi has recalled its Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter due to undisclosed milk – which could prove dangerous to those with allergies.

The 385g pack of the product with a use-by date of April 12, 2025, is affected.

The Food Standards Agency has issued an alert and told those with allergies to avoid the product and return it to the shop for a full refund if they’ve already purchased it.

‘If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it,’ they said.

Last month, Iceland recalled a microwave meal because it could contain pieces of plastic.

Iceland is recalling its own-brand Vegetable Lasagne as the possible presence of plastic makes the meal unsafe to eat.

The warning applies to 400g packs with best-before dates of July 23 and 30, 2026.

Iceland described the warning as ‘precautionary’ and added that only products with those two best-before dates are affected.

And two much-loved chocolate bars were recalled over fears they could contain ‘small stones’.

Tony’s Chocolonely, sold in supermarkets across the UK, claims to be the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products.

Customers who bought the Dark Almond Sea Salt and Everything Bar have been urged to return them to supermarkets to get a full refund.

The company said the risk of ‘small stones’ in the bars is small but has nonetheless recalled bars out of an abundance of caution.

‘We are extremely sorry to have to issue this recall, and for the inconvenience that this will cause people who purchased these products,’ Tony’s Chocolonely said.

‘Whilst the probability of a product being affected is low, we always put the safety and satisfaction of our consumers first and that is why we have made the decision to recall these products.’

Lot codes 62633, 162614, 163061, 4331, 4332, and 4333 are all being recalled.
