The director of public prosecutions has officially appealed the sentence handed to Kristian White, who was spared jail and sentenced to a two-year community corrections order last month.
White was previously found guilty of manslaughter after he fatally tasered 95-year-old Clare Nowland at her aged care home in 2023.
The appeal will be heard in court next week on Thursday, April 17.
