A 45-year-old woman stabbed to death in a housing estate in north London has been named and pictured.

Pamela Munro was attacked at around 7pm on Saturday in Ayley Croft, Enfield.

An air ambulance swooped in to try to save her, but she was pronounced dead shortly after.

A man, 29, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and is in custody.

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 45-year-old woman in Enfield. On Saturday, 19 April at around 19:00hrs police were called to an address in Ayley Croft, Enfield following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London?s Air Ambulance who treated one 45-year-old woman. Sadly, despite their best efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. There have been no arrests at this early stage of the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John said: ‘Investigating officers have worked relentlessly across the weekend to investigate the circumstances around Pamela’s death.

‘We continue to support her family, who are understandably devastated.’

Police have asked anyone who drove through the estate between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday – especially those with dashcam footage – to contact the force.
