A Perth tourist has plunged to his death after losing his footing on a staircase in a Thai hotel.
Sean Collins and his partner were returning to their hotel room after a night out in Phuket when he fell down three floors.
Thai media reported the 59-year-old staggered backwards about 1am on Thursday and landed at the bottom of the stairs in front of his partner.
They’d been due to fly home the following day.
Emergency crews performed CPR at the scene but he later died at Patong Hospital.
