Then came Warcraft III, one of the most successful real-time strategy games of all time. It ignited a new energy in the industry, laying the foundation for what would become one of — if not the — biggest online video games ever.
World of Warcraft launched in 2004 to massive fanfare, and it remains active today, with thousands of players exploring the world of Azeroth daily. Now, there’s a Hollywood movie and a successful virtual card game: Hearthstone.

“We didn’t have a computer at home so had to go and rent time on a PC to play it.
“I remember going to the Unicorn Castle numerous times after graduating high school,” he said.
Williams and Cannon recently visited Sydney to meet fans and celebrate with the Warcraft community.
