A teenager has been charged after driving through the scene of a fatal car crash at Brassall, west of Brisbane, on Sunday.

Police say the 18-year-old man drove a black Holden Commodore ute through a police roadblock on Fernvale Road at 1.40am on Sunday morning.

In video footage provided by police, the ute can be seen accelerating through what is clearly a crash scene, to the sound of tyres crunching over broken glass.

It’s alleged the ute narrowly missed police officers and other agency staff as it drove through the scene.

An 18-year-old Coalfall man was arrested later that day at a home on Rowland Terrace in Coalfall.

He has been charged with driving without a licence, driving without a license plate attached, and endangering police.

He is due to face Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
