A scaffolder is ‘in shock’ after winning big on an online slot game and making a 766,667,000% return on his stake.

Arron Freeman was playing a Betfred game called Mega Moolah and paid just £1.50 for his stake.

But when all of his numbers came up, the dad won a massive £11.5million – the biggest payout in Betfred’s 58-year history.

Arron, 44, runs a scaffolding company in Lowestoft, Suffolk and is a Manchester United supporter.

Fred Done, Betfred’s founder, has congratulated the lucky winner and invited him to a home game as his guest.

Fred commented: ‘He’s a sensible chap and is planning to invest some of his winnings into property for his family – but not before enjoying a holiday of a lifetime.’

He also advised the jackpot winner to never gamble again.

Arron hasn’t said much about his life-changing win yet, saying: ‘I am in shock. I don’t want to say too much more at the moment.’

A friend of his, who wanted to remain anonymous, commented: ‘Aaron is still in shock, and it hasn’t really set in.

‘Of course, it is a life-changing amount of money, so it’s something I think he is coming to terms with.

‘He is a father, and I think he’s still trying to get his head around it.

‘I think he and his partner are off on holiday and are going to take some time to decide their options.’

There’s been a lot of attention on big Lottery wins after the EuroMillions £208million jackpot was scooped last night.

A lucky ticket holder in Ireland matched all five numbers and both lucky stars to claim the top prize, equivalent to 250million Euros.

While Arron isn’t quite on the list of the UK’s biggest lottery winners, he’s certainly received a life-changing amount of money which can completely transform lives.

From luxury holidays to new homes and flashy cars, there are a lot of options you could spend your prize money on – but winning a huge sum can come with its own problems.
