A man has attacked during a home invasion on the Gold Coast early this morning.
Police say two unknown people forced their way into a home on Baileys Mountain Road in Upper Coomera at 3.45am and assaulted the 29-year-old male resident.
He suffered significant wounds to his arm and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital by a person known to him.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition this morning.
Police have declared a crime scene at the home and are investigating.
