A man has been shot in the leg in Woodridge, south of Brisbane.
Officers patrolling on North Street were approached by the man who told them he had been shot.
They applied first aid and the man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have since declared a crime scene at a home on North Street where they believe the 30-year-old from Browns Plains was involved in an altercation just before 8pm that resulted in him being shot.
Police believe everyone involved is known to each other and there is no threat to the public.
Anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
