An Iranian man has been arrested in Sydney‘s west after being accused of planning to import 390kg of methamphetamine into Australia.

The 61-year-old man is accused of coordinating the import of the drugs, which have an estimated street value of $360 million. The methamphetamine was allegedly concealed inside crane parts.

The AFP seized the entire consignment of illicit drugs, which was confirmed to weigh a total of 390kg.

As a result, officers from the AFP arrested the man on Sunday after a search warrant was executed at his Quakers Hill home.
