
A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman plunged to her death from a block of flats in Southampton.
The victim fell at around 2.43pm on Thursday to Cuckmere Lane, near Redbridge Rail station.
Emergency services found the 25-year-old woman with ‘significant injuries’.
She was rushed to hospital, but died there the following day despite the efforts of doctors.
Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

An 18-year-old teenager from Southampton has now been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation, the force said on Monday.
Police are not looking for any further suspects at this time.
Any detail of his identity or his connection with the woman have not been released as of yet.
Relatives laid dozens of floral tributes outside the block of flats.
According to the Daily Echo one handwritten note read: ‘Thank you for always being proud of me.
‘Thank you for being the best big sister ever. You were the smartest person I ever knew, and I’ll forever be proud of you.’
Another tribute read: ‘Rest in peace darling, I’m sorry I couldn’t help you more, thoughts are with you, your family, and friends.’
Officers are pursuing lines of enquiry and are conducting patrols in the area of Cuckmere Lane as their murder probe gets underway.
A spokesperson said: ‘Officers are pursuing lines of inquiry to identify a man within the property at the time of the incident.’
Members of the public have been urged to report any concerns to officers at the scene.
The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
