Police were called to a home in Leura this morning after officers received a request to check on the welfare of the residents inside.

They were taken to hospital, where they remain in recovery after surgery.

A 67-year-old woman who police said was known to the men was found unconscious at the scene and taken to a different hospital, where she remains.

Following an investigation, police arrested the woman in hospital yesterday and charged her with two counts of attempted murder.

She was refused bail and will face court in what’s expected to be a bedside hearing today.
