A man’s body lay on the front lawn of a vacant town house for 12 hours before being discovered in Melbourne’s north-east, it’s believed.
Emergency services were called to a property on Linden Avenue at Ivanhoe about 6pm yesterday after the 27-year-old’s body was found.
Residents say they heard yelling, two loud bangs and a car speeding off just after 5am yesterday, but witnesses saw nothing of note when they went to check outside.

The body was then discovered by a dog walker yesterday evening.
The cause of his death is yet to be determined, but it is being treated as suspicious.
The killer is believed to still be on the run.
A neighbour told 9News that it “scary” to think the incident had happened in “such a quiet, quiet street”.
