A man has been captured on video riding a horse on the sand of Bondi Beach in Sydney whilst waving a Palestinian flag.

The incident occurred yesterday evening at around 6:00pm, with the man seen on top of a white horse galloping across the beach with the flag clearly visible to those present.

Police confirmed they were called to the beach to deal with the matter.

“Police were called to Bondi Beach, following reports a man was riding a horse on the beach in an unsafe manner near members of the public,” a statement said.

“Officers spoke to the rider – a 20-year-old man – before he was issued a move-on direction, which he complied with.

“There were no reports of injuries.”

It comes just days after pro-Palestine and pro-Israel groups clashed at the beach.

Rival protesters at Bondi Beach

9News vision showed hundreds of people on the steps of the beach holding Israeli flags watching on as pro-Palestine protesters stood on the sand.

Hundreds of people had arrived on the sand to take part in a paddle-out in support of Gaza.

It is understood police had to intervene as the protest double-up became tense.

Footage from the event showed punches being thrown during a small fracas between opposing group members.
