King Charles will gift Donald Trump a Union Flag during his second state visit to the UK.
This will be the very same flag that flew over Buckingham Palace on the day of his second inauguration in January 2025.
While this is meant as a gesture of friendship, it comes at a time when the flag has been weaponised in far-right rallies against asylum seekers and has become a reason for panic in parts of the country.
Trump and the first lady arrived in Windsor this afternoon, to a crowd of ‘Make America Great Again’ fanatics and significant police presence.
